Jerry Whitcomb

Jerry Whitcomb has more than thirty years experience in international business development, strategic planning, professional services, logistics, and distribution operations. His global reach has included Australia, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore and the United Kingdom. In his role as Managing Director, Mr. Whitcomb will manage our new Australian company Business Scientific Australia Pty LTD. He will utilize his broad range of cross industry experience in management and logistics of business and software development to insure the timely delivery of BSA's Enterprise Process modeling/re-engineering (EPM) and Enterprise Data Exchange Platform (EDEP) rapid prototypes to our clients. Most recently, Mr. Whitcomb served as the Sydney based Asia Pacific Managing Director for TRW's MARC Global Holdings where he developed business alliances and set the strategic direction. Previously, he worked as Product Manager for Dun and Bradstreet Software where he also handled international sales. Other previous employers include Distribution Research Associates, Uniteq Application Systems, Scotty's, Inc and several startup software companies. Mr. Whitcomb has authored articles on distribution and been a frequent speaker at distribution and logistics seminars in the U.S. and abroad. He holds a Master of Commercial Science degree from Rollins College.

President
John Cavanaugh

Mr. Cavanaugh has over 23 years of experience in creating solutions where information technology dramatically improves the customer's bottom line. Mr. Cavanaugh brings extensive experience in management, internet technology solutions and exacting supply chain projects to his role as President in BSA. In the 90's, Mr. Cavanaugh has held various positions, including Vice President of Sales for EXE Technologies and Celerity Solutions, Inc. He has developed client server and object oriented supply chain systems for various Fortune 500 companies. His career began in the 70's with military projects such as the Cruise Missile and M-1 Tank and proceeded into procurement and inventory control systems for the largest secondary copper and gold refinery in the world. He has a demonstrated track record in the logistics and supply chain arena of solutions. Mr. Cavanaugh has a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and MBA from Rutgers Graduate School of Management.

Vice President - Research & Development
Alan Tung-Lun Chan

Alan Chan has more than 12 years experience using object-oriented development in the analysis, design and implementation for architectures ranging from Internet portals with wireless access and multiple languages to multi-tier client/server and IBM mainframe systems. In his role as BSA's Director of Research and Development, Mr. Chan manages the delivery of rapid prototypes using our Enterprise Data Exchange Platform (EDEP) and he was and is one of its principal developers. Several years ago, Mr. Chan was a Team Leader at AT&T's Bell Laboratories. Subsequently, he has designed and implemented a corporate Intranet supporting Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean languages. He has worked with clients in the U.S. and Asia Pacific regions and has extensive knowledge of Internet technologies as well as object oriented technologies across the skill sets of analysis, design, and implementation. His expertise includes C/C++, J2EE, DHTML, .NET Framework and network engineering. He holds a Master of Computer Science from Columbia University.

Vice President -Enterprise Engineering
Ron Cowley

Ron Cowley has over 40 years experience in Information Technology and Enterprise Engineering. Mr. Cowley brings his background as the lead designer/developer of the patented High Performance Enterprise Engineering (HPEE) methodology and tools to his role as a senior consultant with BSA who focuses on business process modeling and re-engineering. Mr. Cowley has served as the CIO for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and the GPU Nuclear Corporation. He has been an Enterprise Engineering consultant for the past 20 years in banking, nuclear power, healthcare, transportation, manufacturing and retail marketing industries. A frequent speaker at industry conferences and a published author, Mr. Cowley has his college degree in Business Management.

Vice President- Quality Improvement
Jim Urbaniak

Jim Urbaniak is a recognized industry expert in the development and evaluation of Continuous Quality Improvement programs for electric utilities with over 30 years of process and quality management in the power generation and petroleum industries. In his role as senior consultant with BSA, Mr. Urbaniak focuses on business process modeling and re-engineering. Mr. Urbaniak was granted a U.S. Department of Energy "Q" security clearance for several projects where he resolved problems in nuclear power generation facilities, including Savannah River. He was responsible training the Dupont senior management quality team that managed this facility and has managed the development and implementation of quality programs on a national and international basis. Several re-engineering and program development projects were specifically aimed at improvement of engineering processes, design control, configuration management, records management, and change management, for mission critical applications. Previously, Mr. Urbaniak was a co-founder of Metalogics and served as the company president. Other employers have included Gilbert/Commonwealth and Pennsylvania Power and Light Company. Mr. Urbaniak has his college degree from Wilkes University.

Vice President- Operations
Mike Foley

Mr. Foley has over 18 years of management experience with banking and information technology firms and has extensive experience in operations, finance, marketing, and project management and customer service. Mr. Foley was Vice President and Manager of Sales Support for ALLTEL Information Services' Financial Services business where he was responsible for worldwide support of the company's sales efforts and ensuring the delivery and operational quality for the company's products and services sold. For over the past 5 years he has been responsible for support of the company's international sales efforts, focusing on large, international outsourcing and services contracts and joint ventures in the United States, Europe, Australia and Latin America. Prior to his sales support responsibilities, Mr. Foley served in a number of management positions in the company's outsourcing operations group most recently as a senior member of the management team of one of ALLTEL Information Services largest and most profitable operations in California. As Director of Application Development he was responsible for all development and support of over 100 client application systems on mainframe, midrange and client/server platforms with a staff of over 70. As Director of Finance and Administration he was responsible for all accounting, human resources, training and administration functions for the operation of 300+ employees and an annual budget in excess of $25mm per year. As a part of these responsibilities, Mr. Foley was also responsible for the management of company's West Coast Professional Services group of over 25 professionals with annual billings of over $5mm. Other positions held during his career with ALLTEL include Account Manager, Assistant Account Manager, Programming Manager, Conversion Manager, Project Management Instructor and Client Services Manager. Other positions held over the course of Mr. Foley's career include Product Manager, Bank Services Officer and Account Executive with MTech, the information services subsidiary of MCorp; Accounting and Operations Manager with Houston Savings in Houston Texas, Assistant Vice President and numerous banking operations and technology positions with United Savings of Texas in Houston, Texas and Branch Manager for First Federal Savings of Elgin.

Derek Garrett

Derek is a management consultant with 22 years of proven accomplishments and progressive management experience in organizational and business information system development. He has enjoyed continuous professional growth in systems development, consulting, research and development, records and information management, as well as corporate and line management. As an Executive Consultant with BSA, Derek is responsible for managing and performing business reengineering and business information system development projects. Mr. Garrett has worked in a variety of industries including Banking, Transportation, Power, and Construction. Additionally, he has performed a number of projects for the United States government working for the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. He has his college degree in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University.

Senior Consultant
Otis Wokaty

Otis Wokaty has been in the banking & information technology field since 1971 and in management since 1978 with roles in Mexico, Australia and throughout the continental United States. As a senior consultant with BSA, Mr. Wokaty brings a lifelong banking information technology career to his role as business process analyst and strategist. He has consulted to many of the largest U.S. banks as well as lived in Australia managing the outsourcing relationship with a major bank. Before working with BSA, Mr. Wokaty served as Vice President and Major Account Director for ALLTELL Information Services where his role encompassed P&L responsibility in addition to business development. He has worked in management consulting, software development, business development, relationship management, project management, administration, finance, database systems, data communications, telecommunications, human resources, customer service, operations, and sales support in both retail and wholesale banking.
